Women Expo 2009 to feature women entrepreneurs of Pakistan

11 October 2009, Muscat, Oman – A large delegation of Pakistani women entrepreneurs will be coming to Oman this month to showcase a wide range of products at Women Expo 2009, which is scheduled on October 19 to 21 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.

The delegation will be made up of 11 member companies of the Central and North Punjab Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNPWCCI) and will be headed by Dr. Shehla Javed Akram, President of the CNPWCCI. The CNPWCCI has been mainly established to promote economic empowerment among Pakistani women to help them take their rightful place as a powerful business force in Pakistan.

“CNPWCCI firmly supports all efforts to increase bilateral trade relations between Oman and Pakistan, and our participation at Women Expo 2009 will be an opportunity for us to reach out to the women of Oman, interact with them, and to introduce them to our high-quality products as we venture into the Omani market,” Dr. Akram stressed.

The eleven CNPWCCI members that will be exhibiting their products are Anum Enterprises, De Rubees, Eena’z Designer Jewelry, Elite Gems, Kelly Rees, Khaamta, Kryos by Ana Hassan, Mega Garments, Rabees Collection, Shams Brothers, and Zafar Idris Rice and Processing Mills. Their participation in Women Expo 2009 has largely been made possible by the efforts of Trade Development Authority Government of Pakistan and Women Expo’s Pakistan representative Adil Qayyum, Founder & CEO of SME Promotions Pvt. Ltd.

Among the “Made in Pakistan” products that will be on display are designer jewelry made of silver, gold and diamonds, hand-woven fabrics and textiles, women’s dresses, Pakistani carpets, parboiled rice, and trendy fashion accessories. All visitors will surely be impressed by the quality and workmanship of these products, all of which are now increasingly becoming popular in the whole Middle East market.

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome the strong participation of Pakistani women entrepreneurs in Women Expo 2009. Women Expo 2009 to showcase a full range of women’s products


Muscat, Oman, 21 August 2009 A large number of companies that directly deal in women’s products and services have already signed up for the upcoming Women Expo 2009, which will be held on October 19-21 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre in Seeb.

Organised by Omanexpo LLC, Women Expo is the only exclusive exhibition for women in Oman, and it will showcase a wide range of products ranging from perfumes and cosmetics, jewellery and the latest fashion to kitchen equipment, home furnishings, child care products as well as beauty and health services. The three-day event will also prominently highlight the available career opportunities and educational programs for women because they play a major role in the sultanate’s continued social and economic development.
