Especially for Women
Women Expo 2008 celebrates the important roles that
women play not only at home but also in business, in
the government, and in society at large. The event
will showcase everything that sets women apart and
makes them unique as individuals.
With women making up nearly 50% of Oman’s
population, the contribution of women is very
critical in the sultanate’s continued economic and
social development. It is encouraging to note that,
in response, more and more women are answering the
call and taking a stand, achieving success in both
their personal and professional lives.
Women Expo 2008 will attempt to capture the essence
of being a woman. It will try to demonstrate how
today’s women cope with their modern
responsibilities while remaining true to their
traditional roles. The event aims to serve as a
catalyst for greater women empowerment and for
increased awareness among women of the difference
they can make. |
